Volunteer
We’re always looking for new volunteers here at LABIS, as they are integral to our day to day operations. They are a critical part of our team, and are needed to help enrich the lives of the participants socially, physically, and emotionally. More often than not, however, our volunteers find our participants and their experience at LABIS to be enriching to themselves.

Life Enrichment Program
The Life Enrichment Program has been our primary program for over three decades. If you enjoy building connections with people of all varieties, or if you enjoy directing fun activities involving the arts and getting active, then this position might be for you. Support Group
Our Support Groups are an integral division of our operations here. Making sure our guests know that their network is watching out for them is important to us. If you’re a fan of making connections in a more personal and controlled setting, then this might be an area where you can help us out.
Fundraising
We have the capabilities to organize a multitude of fundraisers. From hot dog tents to corporate events. You could be a dealer at a fundraiser casino, a ticket seller, or even a musician if that’s where your abilities are. If you are unable to commit to ongoing weekly activities, perhaps this is where you fit.
Outreach Centre
LABIS takes a unique approach to forming connections with our guests and Lloydminster. Instead of bringing them to us, we’re willing to go out into the community and form those connections. Like the Support Group, this requires you to be a fan of more personal interactions with the community.
Board Positions
If you volunteer in any of the other capacities, then you’re eligible to hold a position on our Board. Those seeking to hold a position on the Board are required to demonstrate leadership capabilities in their other volunteer roles. If you’re interested in a leading the community, this might be something to work towards.
Join Our Membership
Another option is to opt in for a membership. You can purchase an individual membership for $10 or a family membership for $20. With this, you’ll receive a copy of our newsletter, along side letters notifying you of upcoming events. Members are also entitled to make motions at the Annual General Meetings.
