Pathways to Empowerment
The Pathways to Empowerment Program is a free, long-standing LABIS program for adults living with an acquired brain injury. Offered three days a week, it provides a welcoming place to meet others with similar experiences, build friendships, and take part in social, recreational, and interactive activities. The program supports participants’ confidence, well-being, and quality of life while also providing valuable respite for families and caregivers.

OUR STRENGTH
Strengthening mind and body
Through a variety of social, recreational, and interactive activities, participants can build confidence, practise communication and social skills, and strengthen coordination and motor skills. Activities are adapted to encourage participation, connection, and enjoyment in a safe and welcoming environment.

Strengthen the mind
Through regular connection with others, participants can build confidence, practise communication and social skills, and strengthen their emotional well-being. LABIS provides a welcoming environment where friendships can grow and participants can feel understood and included.

Strengthen the body
Through creative activities, games, community outings, and other recreational opportunities, participants can practise coordination and motor skills while staying active and engaged. Activities are adapted to different abilities so everyone can participate comfortably and enjoyably.
