About this site

Accessibility

LABIS serves people living with acquired brain injury. This website is designed with cognitive accessibility in mind — clear headings, plain language, and a consistent layout — so it is easier to read, understand, and navigate.

What we do

Designed to be brain-injury friendly

Brain injury can affect reading, concentration, memory, and processing speed. We keep that in mind in how this site is built and written.

Clear and consistent

Every page follows the same layout, with clear headings and predictable navigation, so you always know where you are and where to go next.

Plain language

We write in short sentences and everyday words, and explain anything that needs explaining — no jargon, no walls of text.

Readable design

Readable fonts, strong colour contrast, generous spacing, and no flashing, autoplay, or distracting movement.

Built to be navigable

We use descriptive link text, skip links, and a logical heading order to help keyboard and assistive-technology users move through the site. Testing is ongoing — if something does not work for you, tell us below and we will fix it.

Feedback

Accessibility is ongoing work, and we want to hear from you. If part of this site is difficult to read, understand, or navigate, tell us and we will fix it. Call (306) 825-7212 or email labis@sasktel.net.
